APL has been a foundational influence on numerous programming language concepts, especially in the areas of functional and array-oriented programming.

The language has continuously evolved over the decades, while maintaining stable and pioneering use across a variety of industries.

In this talk, we take a look at some key concepts that emanate from this functional and array style of programming.

These qualities make it exceptionally suitable for solving problems across different domains, which is arguably the most desirable trait a general-purpose language can strive for.

This is all done using the same simple, yet enormously expressive, primitive toolkit represented as Unicode glyphs.
