What exactly is a progressive web app (PWA)? Should your site evolve into one? Does it replace the need for a Native Web App? Do PWAs work offline? This presentation will provide answers to these questions and show you how to create a reliable, fast, and engaging PWA.  

The process includes enabling a web app for 'Add to Home Screen' support through a web app manifest and service worker. Next, Chris will leverage the service worker to optimize the loading of images for different devices and network speeds. The session will conclude with a demonstration of pushing a web notification to the new PWA.
