Hackathons
Here are just some of the hackathons waiting for you.
ZIO HACKATHON 2025
ZIO is a modern and powerful functional framework for building resilient, scalable, and robust applications on the JVM. With the ZIO framework maturing into a stable, production-grade product for startup and enterprise alike, Ziverge is delighted to host a hackathon at LambdaConf 2025!
The hackathon brings together fresh faces, developers new to Scala and ZIO, and core ZIO contributors into the same room for 8 hours of hacking on core ZIO libraries. During the hackathon, you will be provided with right-sized issues, and supported with expert guidance, as you learn how to contribute key enhancements and fixes to a vibrant open source ecosystem.
For those attending in person, you will also be treated to free food and drinks, courtesy of Ziverge, as well as the opportunity to win high-value prizes like a tablet and computer!
Come share in the joy of building correct, scalable, and bulletproof applications in the Scala programming language, as you network and learn from some of the world’s leading Scala developers in a fun and friendly hackathon that bolsters your OSS resume, increases your professional network, and levels up your skills, knowledge, and passion!
