Urbit: Making the Future Real
What's incredible about Urbit is that it actually works. It's a worldwide, self-updating, blockchain-addressed network built on functional programming from a spec that fits on a T-shirt. And there are thousands of nodes online. And we no longer have to explain why it's needed.
But it's actually a long way from working to succeeding. A lot of people in Silicon Valley are trying to succeed. The rest of them have working software, too. What will it take to actually get Urbit across the line from "cool theory, bro" to a traditional definition of West Coast success?
